BIG Announcement!

Sorry for the lack of blog posts, there are some changes happening around here and we have been keeping busy with portrait sessions! I’m SO thankful for the work, trust me, we have amazing clients and its been such an honor to work with them, however, I am looking forward to December cause I will be taking the whole month off!

Now, on to our big announcement, my dear friend and business partner, Fawn, along with her husband will be moving back to Japan this coming August! I’m SO excited for them because I know how much they have longed and prayed to be back there sharing the Gospel! God has blessed them with a heart for the people of Japan and I’m so thrilled he is leading them back there! Its always sad to say goodbye to a friend but more then anything I want to support both Fawn and her husband as they take these next months preparing their hearts and minds for this new chapter in their lives! I am encouraging Fawn to start her own blog documenting this adventure and share with us what God is doing in them and through them along the way! When she has that blog up and running I will share it with everyone so all of our readers can keep up with her!

With that said, I will still be doing photography and I’m booking weddings for next year! I’ve been blessed to work with such a sweet and loving friend who is also an amazing photographer and our time working together has brought me so much joy! Because I feel Pure Photography is such a large part of both Fawn and myself as a team, I’ve decided to change the name of the business. There will be some design changes and a new blog location but not much else is changing! My passion and love for photography has only grown in the years of running Pure Photography and I’m excited to continue to learn and grow as time goes on! I’ve already done a “soft” launch of my new blogsite and right off the bat you will notice it is a much more personal format. I’ve always wanted to blog both my personal adventures and work images in one location to help my readers and clients get to know me on a more personal level! I hope you will make the venture over to the new site, http://www.tiffany-ann.com, the website is still under construction but all the information you need to stay in touch with me is on my new blog! You can still contact me at info@purephotographyreno.com if you have any questions but this will be a smooth and simple change!

I can’t tell you how much Fawn and I have appreciated YOU, our readers, clients, friends and family, you are the reason we have had such an amazing time with Pure Photography! Thank YOU for all your love and support and we hope you continue on with us as God leads us in new and exciting adventures!

My Favorite Wedding Things: Bridal Attire

Now that June is here and Wedding season is in full swing I have weddings on the brain, a lot! I'm always so impressed with our brides and their level of creativity! I feel it is SO very important to really personalize your wedding and make it about you and your fiance! Don't be afraid to show your personality in every aspect of the wedding! I thought it might be fun to share a few of my favorite Wedding Styles over the next couple of weeks to help those that are still in the planning stage of their wedding! This might help get those creative juices flowing! Today I'll share some favorite Bridal attire pieces! Next week I'll focus on the Groom!

First up, the dress! I really love these dresses from Melissa Sweet, so feminine and romantic in an understated sort of way. Also, I think its brilliant to have pockets, especially if you don't want to carry a clutch around all day.

Now if you have decided not to wear a veil with your gown may I suggest these LOVELY headpieces!
Utterly romantic with a whimsical air about them! I seriously want to buy every single item from Untamed Petals!

And last but certainly not least are the shoes! I love love LOVE elaborate and colorful Bridal shoes! What better way to express your personality then with a pair of bold and glamorous shoes! Check out the fun selection Nina Culver has to offer!

Keeping up With the Times

Please forgive my absence! I've been a busy little bee around here, its true, wedding season is in full swing! Well there is so much I want to share and images from all our sessions that I can't wait to post but in the mean time I wanted to do a quick blog about our website, www.purephotographyreno.com

Fawn and I use a ridiculously awesome program called Showit to build our website and make it 100% unique! Its amazing, I love it and I'll be a customer of theirs for the rest of my life! They have recently just released an upgrade that allows its users to create mobile websites! This means that everyone who surfs the internet with their mobile device can now swing by our site! YAY!
Its true and I don't make any claims other wise, I am an iPhone addict! I'm constantly surfing the web, replying to e-mails, texting (playing Words with Friends, Tiffany_D is my name if you want to play a game!) and watching You tube! Its perfect, I use it for business and I use it for entertainment! I'm so excited that our website is now available for all the other iPhone/Smart phone addicts out there! Here are a few snapshots of the mobile site from my phone...

Feed the Birds!

Its pretty common knowledge that I love birds and owls! I have an abundance of cute feathery birds, clothing, wall stickers, a wallet, jewelry...oh yeah and Pure Photography's logo!! Because of this little known fact one of our fabulous Bride's, Anna, sent both Fawn and I copies of the children's book her mother (Bettie Mae Conradt-Nigro) wrote about birds, "The Birds Outside the Window"! I was so excited about the book I wanted to share it with everyone!

How cute is this!

"The Birds Outside the Window" is an adorable book about a family who cares for the birds in their backyard and at the back of the book their is information on how you can care for and feed the birds in your own backyard!

Do you remember the Movie "Mary Poppins", I love that movie and I adore all the songs (Julie Andrews is awesome)! Well, even Mary Poppins sings about feeding the birds and caring for even the smallest of creatures!

Mary Poppins is a classic but the term of "Feeding the Birds" is alive and well in today's Pop Culture! One of my favorite actors Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog and Castle) has coined the new slang term, "Feed the Birds" meaning to give props to someone!

"The Birds Outside the Window" Is such a cute little book and a perfect way to introduce your little ones to the animals in their backyard!

Have a wonderful Friday and remember to Feed the Birds!

Celerbrating

This past weekend I celebrated! Celebrated my amazing husband, celebrated another year of his life and I look forward to celebrating many MANY more! His Birthday was last week and we had a small get together this past weekend with wonderful friends! My gift to him was catering from his favorite BBQ joint Kinder's!

There was ribs, and backed beans and potato salad...it was a feast! We also played Taboo late into the evening and laughed and joked with our amazing friends! James and I are truly grateful for all the wonderful friends we've been blessed with throughout the years! Here's to MANY more days/nights laughing and celebrating with friends and loved ones!

P.S. Happy March everyone!

My Models

Fortunately for me I have some adorable live in models, so when I want to bust out the camera and have a mini photo session I can! Unfortunately, they are both under the age of 5 and I'm their mom so they don't always want to cooperate! But I just find them so darn cute and its true what they say, "Time goes by so fast". I want to remember every funny face, every laugh, every pout and every grumpy stare! My daughter actually loves the camera and will ham it up for about 10 minutes, then she starts demanding things such as my iphone or candy if I want her to continue to smile. My son on the other hand doesn't tolerate my picture taking shenanigans and just tries to get behind the lens so he can take a picture! I did manage to snap a few of him but a few is better than none!

These portraits were taken in my house yesterday afternoon. I searched out the room with the best light and did a little rearranging. For these images I moved my bed right under the window and had my munchkins facing into the light. Doing portraits in the home helps keep kids relaxed and comfortable, and lets be honest, when it comes to photographing kids they run the show! Great pictures can be made anywhere, you just have to get creative!
