Jackson’s Smile-Pure Community

Photobucket
I wanted to share this with everyone because it has been pressing on my heart very much and I think this pressing on my heart is God wanting me to share this opportunity to help a little boy whatever way I can!
Cameron Ingalls is an amazing photographer and I’ve been a long time admirer of his work and I’m a faithful blog stalker (I’m slowly getting better at leaving blog comments)! When he told the story of Daniel, Halle and their little boy Jackson and how he had been born with a rare syndrome called “Simpson Golabi Behmel” as well as a cleft lip and palate. My heart went out to the family; I can’t even begin to comprehend all that Daniel and Halle have had to endure…emotionally, physically and mentally. As a mother of two I know the intense love and bond you have with your child before their even born, all you want is for them to be happy and healthy! I don’t know Daniel and Halle but I know they LOVE their son Jackson and I know that they would do everything in their power to keep him happy and healthy!
Cameron has started a really awesome project to help out his friends and their adorable little boy, Its called Jackson’s Smile and I really encourage you all to click the link and read more about how you can help! Essentially, some truly amazing photographers have donated some of their artwork to Cameron to sell as prints to raise funds for Jackson and all his costly medical expenses. Its truly a win win for everyone involved because not only would you be helping raise funds for Jackson but also you’ll have some amazing art work for your home or office!

I purchased this photo a few months ago, this is a Jose Villa Print and every time I walk by this picture I’m reminded of Jackson and his family and I take a second to pray for them. I hope you all take a moment to read their story and help in whatever way you can!

Josh and Brittany-Pure Fun

I want to introduce you to my good friends Josh and Brittany. They have been married for almost 5 years and they are super smart! And when I say smart, I mean smart! They are both graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno this coming month. Josh will be receiving the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Cellular and Molecular Biology! Also, Josh and Brittany will both be receiving Masters of Business Administration degrees! Smarty-pants! They asked me to get some pictures for their graduation announcements and we thought what better place then their soon to be old stomping grounds!

By far my favorite shot of the day! I thought it would be funny if they were kissing instead of studying!

The next series of pictures were actually shot by my two-year-old son Jack, my budding photographer! I thought they were funny and I actually really liked the angle (since he is only 3-feet tall he couldn’t really get a different angle! HA HA).

San Francisco-Pure Connection

Back in March the hubby and I took the kids to San Francisco to visit the zoo and since I don't go anywhere without one of my many cameras I took plenty of photos to document the trip! The following are some of my favorite Landscape, nature and animal pictures. I also threw in a few of my kids cause their cute!
This first picture of the Golden Gate Bridge, I took with my Holga. I really like how it came out...weathered and worn looking. The second picture of the bridge was taken with my Nikon.

San Francisco is one of my top 5 cities to visit, there is SO much to do and see...we only spent one day there so all we had time for was the zoo but it was a blast!

My personal favorite animal to visit at the zoo are the big kitties! The tigers were especially fun to photograph since they were not napping like all the other big cats.

The Zoo happens to be right next to the Pacific Ocean so we stopped for a few Minutes to let Jack Check out the waves and people.

Heather and Jacob-Pure Joy

Recently I hosted a baby shower for my sister, Heather, who is welcoming her 2nd little baby boy, Jackson!
We had some time before the shower, so I snapped a few pictures! This is her with her firstborn, Jacob, who I think is more than excited to meet what’s been hiding behind that tummy!

We had the immense pleasure of photographing a Ballroom Showcase put on by Never Enough Ballroom! It was a blast, the dancers were fantastic and they featured a number of really fun dances (Waltz/Foxtrot, Rumba, East Coast Swing, Hip Hop Cha Cha and loads more)! If you are wanting to learn some dance moves (like your getting married this year and you want to rock everyone's socks off when you do the first dance!) then go here! I guarantee you will have a great time! And as a fun little note they are holding a free dance party at their studio tonight at 7pm!
This dance was fierce! LOVED IT!
